Dr. May was born and raised in Southern California, where her childhood experiences at the dentist’s office had a lasting impact. What began as fear eventually turned into appreciation, and these early visits inspired her to pursue a career where she could make a difference in children’s dental experiences. She understands how important a child’s first visit is and is dedicated to providing that positive, lasting impression.

Dr. May earned her Dental Hygiene degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC. She then completed her Pediatric Residency through NYU Langone Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry, at their Hawaii site. These experiences, paired with her love for helping others, allow her to create a nurturing and supportive environment for her young patients.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. May finds the most rewarding part of her job to be the ability to transform how kids feel about dental visits. Helping children overcome their fears and empowering them to take charge of their oral health is what drives her every day. Her calm demeanor and patience make her a comforting presence for children and their families.

Outside of work, Dr. May enjoys staying active with her husband. From golfing to rock climbing and pickleball, she loves challenging herself with new activities. A highlight of her adventures was spending two months on safari in Africa, fulfilling a long-time dream. She’s always ready for her next adventure, both in and out of the dental office.

Dr. Leilani Friesen is a warm and dedicated Pediatric Dentist. Growing up in a vibrant family on the serene shores of Oahu, Hawaii, she developed a profound appreciation for the power of relationships and establishing trust with parents.

After her time as a collegiate Women’s Volleyball athlete at Concordia University in Irvine, California, she embarked on a journey of dental excellence. Driven by her passion for crafting smiles and fostering connections, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Friesen’s commitment to her craft deepened as she pursued specialized training at The UNLV School of Dental Medicine in the Pediatric residency program, solidifying her expertise in pediatric dentistry. Her family, including her husband Phil and their two daughters, Renly and Livia, as well as two Great Danes, are the anchors of her life. Beyond the clinic’s walls, Dr. Friesen finds joy in nature’s embrace, watching sports, and sharing quality moments with loved ones.

Dr. Cale Forgues is not just an orthodontist; he’s a vibrant personality who infuses energy into our practice. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, he ventured to the U.S. in 2006, embracing a diverse cultural background.

Dr. Forgues is an advocate for the transformative power of orthodontics. As a member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association, he brings a fresh outlook to the field. Dr. Forgues holds a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and a Masters Degree in Oral Biology with a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Nevada.

Dr. Forgues has always been a sports enthusiast, excelling in hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and squash during his formative years. His commitment to sports extended to college, where he secured scholarships for both lacrosse and squash, ultimately achieving a commendable country ranking in squash.

His outgoing personality and relatability make him a valuable asset to our office. He not only crafts beautiful smiles but also engages with patients, fostering an environment of excitement about their orthodontic journey.
